Authorities stated that one person died in the last 24 hours due to complications.

The UAE has recorded a total of 961,345 cases, 941,637 recoveries and 2,323 deaths since the beginning of Covid-19 in the country in January 2020.

Widespread testing along with tracing, strict safety measures, and a high vaccination rate have been credited for significantly reducing deaths.

Cases of the virus have dropped since it reached nearly 4000 per day in January 2021.

A further 230,353 tests were performed over the period of 24 hours, bringing out the total number carried out since the start of the pandemic to more than 172 million.

In the United Kingdom, Covid-19 cases are persisting in rising, with the number of cases increasing by 18% in the last week.

In England, one in every 25 people has contracted the virus, up from the one in 30 last week, as per the Office for National Statistics, which predicts 2.7 people had the virus last week.

These figures are much worse than in Scotland, with one in 17 people infected with the virus, and in Wales, one in 20.

These numbers are being pushed by the milder but more infectious Omicron BA.5 variant.

The virus can quickly spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in the form of small liquid particles when they sneeze, cough, speak, sing or even breathe. These tiny particles vary from larger respiratory droplets to minimal aerosols.

The whole world is trying its best to tackle the problem of coronavirus and the impact that it is having on the overall development of the entire world.
