Ahmed has used a wheelchair since he was nine, and by overcoming all challenges makes his accomplishment all the more delightful.

He suffered from an injury when he was a child as he fell down from the stairs in school and broke a leg. However, even after recovering, he again fell during a school trip and, this time, broke both of his legs.

Because of the damage to his legs and hands, Ahmed has since required a wheelchair.

Ahmed stated that he used to finish his homework and study for exams for four hours every day.

Because of his disability, Ahmed has found it challenging to have hobbies that need mobility.

Ahmed was pleased with getting the highest marks at Al Maneyi Secondary School but felt extra happy to know he was at the top of the emirate.

He now strives to regain his mobility and tu study law in future.

Ali Al Dahmani, aged 70, his father, stated that his son was on a school trip when the bus driver pushed the brake suddenly to avoid a collision, which made Ahmed fall.

Mr Al Dahmani stated that Ahmed is a bright and intelligent pupil. His life changed, but in spite of his disability, he ranked first in Ras Al Khaimah.

Ahmed’s father sought help from charities to help him cover the expenses of his treatment so that he could walk again.

He stated, “We took him to many doctors, and all said that his treatment costs a huge amount of money. But we are a modest family and cannot cover his treatment expenses.”
