Emirates stated that it is thankful for the support from the Airport in helping provide travellers with a smooth and safe journey.

The decision comes after London’s Heathrow imposed a cap on the number of passengers and is designed to provide extra seats for passengers impacted by the new rules.

Additional flights will operate to the Airport till August 3. The flights are scheduled to fly in the morning and will operate through a Boeing 777 aircraft with first, economy and business class cabins.

Earlier, Emirates denied cutting capacity on flights to the busiest Airport in Europe, stating that it would affect too many passengers.

Long queues, luggage issues and cancellations have tormented Heathrow Airport since the travel sector’s comeback from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Emirates president Sir Tim Clarke stated, “We said we cannot do that and we would not do that.”

The airline has since decided to stop selling flight tickets till mid-August and is assembling capacity adjustments on London Heathrow flights to help facilitate operational pressures at the Airport.

The airline stated that it is working closely with its travel partners to accommodate any previous bookings that were impacted to assure smooth onward flight connections for customers to reach their destination.

Earlier also, Gatwick airport asked travellers to be prepared better when flying. The heads of the Airport asked passengers to pay more attention towards security rules before their flights to facilitate disruption in its terminals.

Emirates is also moving forward with their plans to resume daily services from Dubai to London Stanstead from August 1 onwards.
