On Friday, August 5, 998 new coronavirus cases were reported, the lowest per day cases since June.

Authorities have asked the public to stay dedicated towards safety measures, like isolating after a positive test and wearing face masks when needed, in order to help support the nation’s coronavirus recovery strategy.

In one of the most complex studies on the condition, the research evaluated long Covid sufferers with individuals who have never been infected, making it likely that some health issues were not resulted because of the virus.

The study, which was published in The Lancet Journal, found that of those with COVID-19, over 21% had at least one new or seriously raised symptom three to five months after becoming infected with the coronavirus.
