Under the patronage of His Excellency the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health and in the presence of His Excellency Minister of Health, the opening of the event of World Diabetes Day was organized at the Delmonia Complex.
During the Event Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, Bahrain, laid out plans to reduce diabetes by implementing preventive and therapeutic initiatives and providing comprehensive health services.
The Minister of Health added that authorities need to raise awareness of diabetes and ways to prevent its complications.

His Excellency pointed out that rates of diabetes have doubled globally in the past few years, with statistics from International Diabetes indicating that more than 537 million people currently live with diabetes, and most of these cases are Type Two, and highly preventable Through physical activity and diet balanced health.
