Al-Marri inspects Gen. Dept. of Protective Security & Emergency

His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, has recently praised the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency for their vital in various security missions and their effective contribution to the success of the multiple events and exhibitions taking place in the Emirate of Dubai.

The annual inspection visit was held in the presence of H.E Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaith, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs; Brigadier Rashid bin Darwish Al Falasi, Acting Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency; Brigadier Dr Saleh Al Hamrani, Deputy Director of the General Department for Excellence and Pioneering, and several senior officers and security officials.

The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police reviewed the strategic indicator of the General Department and the success rate of plans for security, protection, and emergency, as well as the most significant achievements and future projects of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri also reviewed the statistics of the General Department, in which the Emergency department secured 740 sports events in 202. While the K9 Security Inspection department carried out 2380 missions during the same year, including security patrols, guarding, securing tasks, and participating in various events.

Al-Marri was briefed on the statistics of the Organizations Security Department, which carried out 51,548 missions, while the VIP Security and Protection Department carried out 827 missions. He also reviewed the achievements of the Police Operations Training department and organised plenty of training programmes benefitting 1,465 personnel.

First Response
The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police also reviewed the results of the first emergency response training programmes featured 44 training courses, 36 table exercises, and 40 scenarios of different operations. The number of trainees who benefited from the training programmes reached 1,556, including 842 trainees from various general departments and 714 from police stations.

Key Achievements
Al-Marri was also briefed on the most significate achievements of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency during last year, which included the obtaining of the Sharjah Government Communication Award, and winning three categories in the Commander-in-Chief Award, namely, the Best Field Work Team, The Best Administrative Officer, and the award for the Ideal Driver. The General Department also registered eight intellectual properties in various fields.

Towards the end of the inspection visit, Al Marri honoured the Dubai World Trade Centre as one of the best external strategic partners of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency, praising their continued and fruitful cooperation with different sup-departments at the general department.
