The whole world is mourning the demise of Britain’s Queen. Dubai’s photographer poured his heartfelt condolences to Royal Family and the people affected and remembered his first meeting with Queen.

On Thursday, Buckingham palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II, The longest reigning Monarch, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon at Balmoral.

Dubai’s veteran photographer Ramesh Shukla remembered his experience with her when she visited the UAE in 1979. The photographer said that he just wanted to take a solo photograph of her.

Ramesh Shukla, Dubai’s veteran photographer, said, “She was busy with the happenings and did not heed me at first. But I kept saying please, and suddenly she turned around and gave me the sweetest smile. It was an amazing moment for me.”

Shukla added, “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, was also standing next to the Queen. I photographed all the proceedings. After that, I asked Queen for a solo photograph.”

The Queen visited UAE for a three-day visit in 1979. The photographer said that this incident occurred when Britain’s Monarch inaugurated the Dubai Municipality building.

Veteran Photographer of Dubai said that the key was made of 1 Kg gold which was presented to the Queen by the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The UAE declared three days of mourning on the death of the longest-serving Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.

The authorities announced that the country’s flags would be flown half-masted for three days in embassies and the public and private sectors to mourn the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.

The mourning period will begin on Friday, 9 September and end on Monday, 12 September.

The country, including UAE leaders, Businessmen and members of society, have also sent condolences to the royal family in the UK and the people affected across the globe due to the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.
