Dubai Police observed “Commemoration Day” with half masted flag followed by 1 minute’s silence

Dubai Police force and commander-in-chief joined the nation in observing one-minute silence to pay tribute to the United Arab Emirate’s martyrs. As tribute flag was half-masted at the General Headquarters.

In a statement marking the Day, Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, said, “Commemoration Day is dear to our hearts and honours our righteous and noble martyrs who selflessly sacrificed their lives serving our nation.”

“Their sacrifice and love for the nation will be deeply-rooted in the memory of future generations which are yet to come,” Lt. Gen. Al Marri added.

During Commemoration Day, Lt. Gen. Al Marri said that this day showcases the unforgettable and precious memories of the United Arab Emirates (UAE); during this time, the force remembers those soldiers who gave their lives to provide security and protection to their motherland.

Lt.Gen. Al Marri, while paying tribute to the national heroes, Al Marri added that these heroes will remain in our hearts throughout our lives and will be role models to many upcoming generations.

“Marking Commemoration Day and all national occasions increase our people’s cohesion and inspire them to pursue the UAE’s march of prosperity, stability, security and happiness,” said Lt. Gen. Al Marri.
