India: PM Narendra Modi committed to cross-border ties with Bhutan

New Delhi, India: On the auspicious occasion of the 74th Republic Day of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his gratitude and thankfulness to the Lotay Tshering, Prime Minister of Bhutan and shared warm wishes on the republic day parade.

As per recent information, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also welcomed his Bhutan Counterpart, Tshering, to strengthen their longstanding diplomatic relationship.

On his part, PM Modi stated that “India is fully committed and aiming to take the unique partnership with the neighbour forward to form enhanced relations while maintaining peace and prosperity among them”.

In his remarks, PM Modi cited in a tweet that he was honoured to receive the warm wishes from the Bhutanese Prime Minister, Lotay Tshering, and the nation is always standing beside them to keep the partnership and cross-border relationship among them standing on the foundation of trust and prosperity of both countries.

On his part, the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Lotay Tshering, extended his message to Prime Minister Modi, Stating, “The 74th republic day is truly a special occasion for our neighbour country as our close friend”.

“Today is a truly special day for our friends in India as you all cherish and celebrate the adoption of the Indian constitution, which established the foundation of the world’s largest democracy. The day commemorates the sacrifice made by our friends and their forefathers who marched forward in unison into independence and free India,” Bhutan’s PM said in a tweet.

In the end, India celebrated its 74th Republic Day with great enthusiasm. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was the Chief Guest at the Republic Day parade in the national capital. Several world leaders extended greetings on India’s Republic Day, as per the report of ANI (Asia News International)
