Egypt: The Minister of Agriculture and Land Reform Al Qasir has recently directed the Ministry’s efforts to deal with the extreme heat and weather conditions in terms of crop irrigation along with facilitating the process for farmers. 

The officials from the Ministry have emphasized providing better facilities and machinery to the farmers developing field functions.

According to the shared updates, the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Rehabilitation, Al Qasir, has noted that the Ministry has introduced a number of initiatives to deal with extreme heat and facilitate irrigation for farmers.

In addition, the updates shared through the Ministry have outlined that “The Minister of Agriculture directs to follow up the development and purification of the ministry’s fields and crops.” The programs have begun the work starting from the efforts of the state in developing irrigation systems and water guidance, as well as the national project for lining the turf.

In the framework of the efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture to mitigate the Effect of the severe heat wave on crops that the country is currently experiencing, said reports. 

On his part, minister Al-Qasir asked the leaders of the Ministry and the directors of agriculture departments and administrations in the governorates about the necessity of continuous follow-up to clean the fields and meadows.

He stressed the speciality and directives of the Ministry. He ensured that it was cleared so that the water did not obstruct the ends of the fields, to facilitate the irrigation process, especially during these days when farms needed intensive and regular irrigation to alleviate the Effect of heat.

Minister of Agriculture, Al-Qasir asserted that implementing these instructions is the responsibility of all directors of directorates, credit, agricultural reform, and land reform.

It was said that the land improvement device is directed to respond quickly to farmers’ complaints in this regard.
