St Kitts and Nevis PM meets Canadian High Commissioner, discusses future collaborations  

The interaction was scheduled to build and enhance the diplomatic ties between the two nations, for more enhanced relations and potential collaborations.  

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew welcomed Brenda Williams, the High Commissioner-designate of Canada to St Kitts and Nevis on Tuesday morning. The interaction was scheduled to build and enhance the diplomatic ties between the two nations, for more enhanced relations and potential collaborations.  

The meeting held between the two officials featured discussions on several key topics including energy, sustainable agendas and cooperation across the trade market. The discussion between Prime Minister Terrance Drew and High Commissioner designates of Canada also focused on discussing and exploring new areas that can benefit the locals and aid economic growth for St Kitts and Nevis.

PM Drew emphasized the meeting and called it an enduring bond between two nations, and also called out the blooming trust, and cooperation. He also stated that the Canada has been one of the great partners of Caribbean nations, assisting them during their tough phases such as hurricanes and other natural calamities.

He then also shed light on the future projects that the two countries will look forward to work on, that could significantly enhance their journey in building resilient and sustainable future for the next generation.  

The bilateral meeting was notably scheduled at the government headquarters where both leaders shed light on their long-standing relations that will reshape their economic and education enhancement parameters. The visit by the Canadian representative hence will also enhance the chances of strengthening these collaborations across sectors including education, trade and local businesses.  

Both the leaders also promised to work together for the advancement of their priorities, which could significantly help their people and their upliftment. In order to delve deeper into developmental projects, Dr Drew also extended a courtesy call to Wills and Outlined several projects that are currently going in the country to promote and fulfill the ultimate sustainable agenda.  

Following this visit, the partnership between the two nations from now on might strengthen which could boost the local economies.
