Sheikh Hamdan Joins UAE National Guard for Iftar in Hatta, Praises Their Dedication

Hatta, UAE – Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum shared iftar with UAE National Guard personnel in Hatta, underscoring his appreciation for their sacrifices and commitment.

Sheikh Hamdan, who also serves as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, spent time with the soldiers and officers engaged in border patrol duties during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Crown Prince posted images of the iftar gathering on X, formerly known as Twitter, showing him seated alongside the troops with boxes of iftar meals.

The visit included a tour of the area, where Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on the operational aspects of the military units stationed in border areas. He also joined the personnel in prayer, further highlighting his solidarity and support for the soldiers.

Sheikh Hamdan expressed his gratitude for the dedication of the troops, many of whom spend Ramadan away from their families to safeguard the nation’s borders.

“Their dedication to safeguarding our borders, even while away from their families during the holy month, is truly remarkable,” he stated.

He emphasized the critical role that these service members play in maintaining the UAE’s security and stability, especially during a time traditionally associated with family gatherings.

The Crown Prince also took the opportunity to exchange Ramadan greetings with the National Guard personnel and was briefed on their schedules during the holy month.

His visit was seen as a gesture of recognition for the troops who continue their duties without interruption, even through fasting hours and iftar time.

In a statement released by the Dubai Media Office, Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the importance of acknowledging those who work tirelessly to ensure that vital services remain uninterrupted.

“We deeply appreciate all those who work diligently around the clock to ensure our country continues to be a beacon of stability and prosperity,” he said.

Sheikh Hamdan’s visit resonated widely, drawing praise for his hands-on approach and the encouragement he extended to the soldiers.
