“Marine rescue teams promptly initiated a search and were able to retrieve the necklace and return it to the tourist,” Colonel Al Naqbi explained. The swift and effective response from the team not only salvaged the necklace but also showcased the exceptional commitment of the Dubai Police Marine Rescue Unit.

While the Marine Rescue Unit is traditionally tasked with responding to emergencies, accidents, and marine incidents, Colonel Al Naqbi emphasized that their dedication goes beyond just handling standard procedures. “Our team always strives to go beyond expectations to bring joy to the public,” he said.

This rare incident highlights the lengths to which Dubai Police are willing to go to assist residents and tourists, ensuring that even the smallest of inconveniences is handled with utmost professionalism.

The story of the officer diving into the dam’s depths has since made waves on social media, further solidifying the image of the Dubai Police as a compassionate and service-oriented force.

Despite the happy ending, Colonel Al Naqbi also took the opportunity to advise the public on best practices for water-related activities. He urged people to be cautious and avoid carrying valuable items while participating in such activities, as the waters around Hatta Dam can be difficult to navigate.

The tourist, whose identity has not been disclosed, was visibly relieved and grateful for the efforts of the Dubai Police team, thanking them for their swift and thorough action. Her experience is a testament to the city’s commitment to providing excellent services to both residents and visitors alike.
