UAE: Schools celebrate country’s Flag Day in full swing

The School shared the information on its official social media account on 4 November; the School in Khalifa Bin Zayed City Ras Al Khaimah in UAE is runned as per the British Curriculum from the early years of its foundation.

The UAE’s flag day was observed with an idea presented by Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The occasion is observed as the accession anniversary of his highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan when she was President of the United Arab Emirates in the year 2004.

The School provides education from Stage FS1 (Pre-KG) up to Year 9 (Grade 8). Yet the School is operated by the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres (SPC).

The social media handle of the St Mary Private High School on Facebook remains active almost every day, and The School keeps sharing about new updates, growth and achievements of Youth.

Another school, Aspen Heights British school, which is located in Al Bahya, Abu Dhabi, also shared an update on celebrating the country’s Flag day.

The School, on its official Facebook account @Aspen Heights British Schools, shared the information with photos, “Today we celebrated the UAE Flag Day with a flag-raising ceremony and our entire community joined in waving their flags. The UAE Flag is seen as a symbol of nationalism, independence, and sovereignty in all places and at all times.

Our students wore the UAE flag colours and participated in various activities to celebrate this day!”

The UAE’s flag day celebrations were swept across the country; the private and public sectors celebrated the occasion.

Dubai Police also celebrated UAE’s Flag Day by joining citizens and residents in celebrating the occasion of UAE’s Flag Day. Dubai Police raised the flag of the country high at the headquarters premises.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, and the other number of Dubai Police senior officers, general directors, and employees.
