Emirates Offers Free Ice Cream at DXB Terminal 3 Ahead of Eid Al Adha Rush

The offer is available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between 12pm and 6pm, making it a refreshing weekend treat for families heading abroad. Flavours include mango, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream, as well as passionfruit and raspberry sorbets

Dubai – As the Eid Al Adha holidays approach and more residents plan their summer getaways, Emirates is offering a cool treat to travellers departing from Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 3.

From June 6 to 20, passengers flying with Emirates can enjoy complimentary ice cream or sorbet as part of a special summer initiative aimed at easing the travel experience during the busy holiday season. Four dedicated ice cream carts will be stationed throughout Terminal 3, serving a variety of chilled flavours to departing travellers.

The offer is available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between 12pm and 6pm, making it a refreshing weekend treat for families heading abroad. Flavours include mango, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream, as well as passionfruit and raspberry sorbets.

“Emirates is pleased to bring back its popular ice cream carts at Terminal 3, offering passengers a moment to relax and enjoy a treat before their journey,” an airline representative said. “It’s part of our continued efforts to make travel more enjoyable and memorable, especially during peak periods like Eid.”

The initiative comes as Dubai International Airport anticipates a significant surge in traffic during the Eid Al Adha holiday period, with a peak expected between June 1 and June 9. To manage the rush and ensure smooth travel, Emirates and airport authorities are urging passengers to arrive at least three hours before their scheduled departure time.

Travellers are also reminded to complete immigration procedures at least 90 minutes before departure and reach their designated boarding gate no later than one hour prior to takeoff. The airline warns that gates close promptly 20 minutes before departure, and late arrivals may not be accommodated.

Emirates has also encouraged passengers to use online check-in and drop off their luggage at dedicated self-service kiosks to reduce waiting times. Families with children, elderly passengers, and those requiring assistance are advised to allocate extra time to navigate airport formalities during the busy period.

As Dubai continues to experience high temperatures, the ice cream carts serve as both a symbolic and literal way to help passengers cool off and begin their holidays on a cheerful note. The seasonal activation adds to a range of services Emirates has rolled out in recent years to improve customer satisfaction and provide added value.

Eid Al Adha, which is expected to begin around June 16 depending on the lunar calendar, traditionally sees a rise in outbound travel from the UAE as residents take advantage of the extended public holiday for regional and international trips.

With a combination of rising temperatures, increased passenger flow, and family travel, the ice cream offering is likely to be a welcome sight for many departing holidaymakers.
