Bank Muscat attends first international dates and honey exhibition

Bank Muscat, the major and leading financial services provider of Oman, participated in the First International Exhibition for Dates and Honey. This exhibition was held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre from 25-28 October 2023.

Bank Muscat, the major and leading financial services provider of Oman, participated in the First International Exhibition for Dates and Honey. This exhibition was held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre from 25-28 October 2023.

The first-of-its-kind event was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi. He is the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.Large number of attendees, along with a number of officials and experts in the field, attended the event.

Salim Mohammed Al Kaabi, General Manager – Credit & Legal, was also present during the opening ceremony. This first year saw the participation of 180 local and international companies working in the production and packaging of honey and dates.

It is to be specifically mentioned that the exhibition aims to introduce dates and honey production in Oman, enabling companies to see the new technologies used in the field. The exhibition also wants to give companies an opportunity to follow up on recent developments.

MSMEs are a key focus area for Bank Muscat, which is keen to provide businesses with various financial services and facilities. During the 4-day exhibition, the Bank displayed through a dedicated stall the services and benefits offered by Najahi Business Banking.

It is worth mentioning that the Najahi Programme is designed to enable MSMEs to develop and expand their businesses through a suite of products, including the value-added Najahi Current Account, Najahi Flexi Loan to support working capital, business expansion and other needs of the businessman. Other services include the Najahi Business Credit Card and Najahi PoS Receivables financing for customers who use PoS machines for sales. All financing options are available to the Bank’s customers totally free.

Bank Muscat is always at the forefront of supporting various activities in different fields. The Bank participated previously in many local and international exhibitions and festivals held across the Sultanate in order to improve communication and partnership.

The Bank is continuously working to enhance the role of this important sector and invest in the development of various services and facilities that will provide incentives, benefits and facilities for entrepreneurs.
