Dubai Launches ‘Ideal Face’ Initiative to Promote Residency Compliance and Social Responsibility

The initiative, announced by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) last month, rewards residents and Emirati sponsors who have adhered to the residency laws without violations for the past 10 years

Dubai’s latest effort to promote residency law compliance and social responsibility, the “Ideal Face” initiative, was officially launched at Global Village on Friday.

This platform, designed to foster active participation and raise awareness, runs from November 15-24, offering residents and visitors an engaging experience centered on adhering to the emirate’s residency regulations.

The initiative, announced by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) last month, rewards residents and Emirati sponsors who have adhered to the residency laws without violations for the past 10 years.

Starting November 1, these law-abiding individuals will be granted “special privileges” as part of the campaign’s recognition program.

The GDRFA emphasizes that these individuals embody the “Ideal Face” of Dubai through their dedication to following residency regulations, which contribute to the emirate’s security and stability.

The new platform, positioned next to the main stage at Global Village, invites public engagement by allowing visitors to pledge their commitment to these laws.

“We hope that by encouraging residents to take part in this initiative, we can increase awareness of the role these regulations play in ensuring the safety and prosperity of our community,” said a GDRFA representative.

Interactive competitions are set to take place at the platform, designed to make learning about the initiative both fun and informative.

Winners of the competitions will receive symbolic prizes, serving as incentives to increase participation and commitment to residency compliance.

Influencers are also playing an active role in promoting the platform, using their social media presence to engage their followers and encourage them to take part.

Several volunteers have been stationed at the venue to provide additional information, answer questions, and guide visitors through the pledge process.

The “Ideal Face” initiative is seen as part of Dubai’s broader efforts to strengthen community bonds and ensure that residents understand their responsibilities within the emirate.

Through such campaigns, authorities aim to create a culture of compliance, reinforcing that adherence to laws is integral to maintaining Dubai’s reputation as a safe, stable, and welcoming destination for all.

By providing a fun and interactive environment for participants, the platform at Global Village seeks to foster a sense of ownership and pride among residents in contributing to the city’s growth and security.
