Cairo: Egypt has recorded a total of 1,523 additional cases of novel coronavirus on Monday, February 28, 2022, according to the data shared by the Ministry of Health. With the arrival of these COVID-19 new infections, the total toll of the confirmed cases in the Middle East country has risen to 483,771.
The data further notes that a total of thirty-four (34) COVID-19 patients lost their lives to the deadliest viral disease in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall death rate of Egypt to 24,074.
In terms of recoveries, there are a total of 1,321 patients who recovered from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours and got discharged from the hospital facilities.
The total recovery rate of the Middle East nation at the present time stands at 413,482.
The COVID-19 vaccination statistics of the country:
Till now, there are a total of 40,772,051 individuals who are partially vaccinated by taking at least one jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, representing around 39.8% of the total population of the country.
On the other hand, there are a total of 29,953,832 individuals in the Middle East country who are fully vaccinated by taking their required number of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. This number of individuals counts for around 29.3% of the total population.
Booster shots are also being administered in the country, according to which there are a total of 985,931 individuals who are fully vaccinated and have taken their booster shots.
The country has set a target to vaccinate around 70% of its total targeted population by the second half of 2022.
