Italian senate unveils book ‘La Trappola Cinese’ by President of UC, Dolkun Isa

Rome, Italy: The Italian Assembly released the book released by World Uyghur Congress President Dolkun Isa, “La Trappola Cinese,” creating an awareness of the dangers regarding the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) also showcasing his life journey of struggles for freedom and peace of the Uyghur population after serious human rights violations from decades.

Rome, Italy: The Italian Assembly released the book released by World Uyghur Congress President Dolkun Isa, “La Trappola Cinese,” creating an awareness of the dangers regarding the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) also showcasing his life journey of struggles for freedom and peace of the Uyghur population after serious human rights violations from decades.

According to the reports, the book unveiling event was hosted by Senator Giulio Terzi in association with the Global Committee for the Rule of Law- Marco Pannella. In addition, during the book launch ceremony, several top government leaders were present, including the author, speakers and Senators, former undersecretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Gianni Vernetti, Giulio Terzi, former senator, luigi Compagna, founder of Dialogue on Democracy, Vas Shenoy along with, Global Committee Secretary General of the Rule of Law, Marco Pannella.

In addition, Dolkun Isa, President of the World Uyghur Congress and a German National since 2006 as the organization which aims to promote democracy and human rights along with freedom for the Uyghur minorities by democratic and nonviolent means for the ethnic minority of the Xinjiang Autonomous Region popularly known as East Turkestan in the People Republic of China.

Furthermore, while focusing on the above facts, Chinese Uyghurs suffer severe restrictions regarding the freedom of speech, expression and movement along with arrests, torture, deportations, enforced Abduction, disappearances and illegal executions, in spite of the fact that the Chinese Constitution provides equal rights for all people residing in Chinese territories, said reports.

The reports confirmed that after President XI Jinping became the ruler in 2013, the situation deteriorated dramatically. The policies of the CCP have been tightening in terms of discriminatory and assimilationist policies in the region of Xinjiang ever since.

Moreover, the CCP has built concentration centres presented as “re-education centres” after a journey of long denial, where millions of Uyghurs, Kazakhs, and Turkish Muslims are confined.

Additionally, Dolkun Isa pointed out that the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) has been using instrumentally and issuing Red Notice alerts to the individual wanted by the jurisdiction, international or national courts.

In the end, Dolkun Isa was put on the Red Notice list in 1997 with the motive to be removed in 2018, which forced him to live for 21 years under the constant threat of being extradited to Chinese authorities for political reasons.
