Jordan:Â The Prime Minister of Jordan, Dr Bashar Al-Khasaouna, has recently announced that the Government has allocated an additional 12.5 million dinars this year to the Student Support Fund at the request of the House of Representatives during the Parliament session.
According to the updates, PM Dr Bashar Al-Khasaouna confirmed that the Government had kept the Student Support Fund system and any procedures and mechanisms related to providing grants and funding to students through the fund.
In his remarks, he also noted that the Government was able to cover 100% of college students who applied for public grants and loans from the Student Support Fund last year. “We are proud that we are working hard day and night to avoid harassment on citizens,” Al-Khasaouna said, in implementing the directions of King Abdullah II and as a key focus to fulfilling our constitutional oath.
Furthermore, “We have a concern and fear for the citizens’ interests, which is not right with which the government is narrowing them, and we take it with our hearts about our citizens, our country and our leaders,” said the Prime Minister.
Moreover, it was also confirmed that the Government, with the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Standing Office, has reached a clear mechanism regarding medical exemptions for eligible citizens not included in health insurance services.
The deficit turned out that about 4-5 thousand medical exemptions were going to undeserving people, and half were covered under the civil or military health insurance services, said the reports.
Additionally, regarding the diplomatic wire system, the Prime Minister confirmed that the regime has governed the appointments of diplomats in the Foreign Affairs Ministry and Expatriates for decades and has been amended like any other system through the Legal Ministerial Committee in the Legislative Assembly and Opinion House.
Prime Minister Bashar Al-Khasaouna also emphasized that the diplomatic wire system is the official mechanism for recruiting diplomats in a competitive framework in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs.
While concluding, PM Al Khasaouna noted that the Cabinet and the Government do not pay any price secretly or publicly for the approval of legislative mechanisms and said, “We are aware of this matter within the framework of our constitutional responsibility and national culture and upbringing.”
