The sources did not clarify the real reasons that led to this number of divorce cases recorded since the beginning of the year, but they indicated that according to the preliminary data that appeared from the separated when registering a request for divorce, it seemed that there was more than one reason for that, including disagreements and incompatibilities, and others related to With social matters, while there were reasons for some cases that did not rise to the degree of separation of the two life partners, and it was possible to bypass them.

As for marriages, the figures indicate that the total number of marriages that took place in Kuwait since the beginning of the year amounted to 11,451 cases, compared to 14,677 cases recorded in the corresponding period of last year, which constitutes a significant decrease in marriages in Kuwait by approximately 22 percent, taking into account The divorce cases registered since the beginning of the year constitute about 5.55 percent of the total number of marriages registered during the same period, while the divorce cases among Kuwaitis represent about 3.5 percent of the total number of marriages.

What is worth noting in this regard is that the number of marriage contracts for Kuwaitis since the beginning of the year amounted to 8,594. The marriage rate between male and female citizens constituted 85.5 percent of them, with 7,332 contracts.
