Castries:Â Philip J Pierre, The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Friday Congratulated Julien Alfred for Winning The Bowerman award in the United States of America. This is the highest award given to the best Student-athletes every year.
Julien Alfred is a world-renowned Sprinster Belonging to the small Caribbean nation Saint Lucia. Last year at the Commonwealth Games she won the silver medal in hundred meters race. Presently she is a student of the University of Texas.
The Bowerman Award was established in memory of Oregon’s Track and Cross Country coach Bill Bowerman. This award is given every year by the US Track and Cross Country Association to the best male and female sportsperson.
PM Philip J Pierre took to his social to extend his best wishes to Julien Alfred.
