Castries: The small and beautiful Caribbean nation of Saint Lucia was awarded with the leading destination of the world. Prime Minister Philip J Pierre received this award on Behelf of Country at a grand ceremony. This Ceremony was held in Dubai as the “World’s Travel award”.
Prime Minster Philip J Pierre is on an official visit to Dubai to attend the 28th Session of Dubai. This is the 15th time the Country has received this exceptional recognition.
World travel awards are known as symbols of excellence in the field of travel and tourism industry. It also recognises other outstanding destinations such as hotels, resorts, travel organisations, etc.
Prime Minister Philip J Pierre took to social media to express and share his happiness with citizens. She stated in a social media post, “I had the unique honour of accepting the award for World’s Leading and Best Honeymoon Destination on behalf of Saint Lucia at the prestigious World Travel Awards while I am attending COP28 in Dubai. This is the 15th time that Saint Lucia has received this worldwide recognition.Our island nation is not just a travel destination; rather, it is a home of love, tranquillity, and natural splendour. This exceptional achievement reflects the dedication of our tourism sector and the warmth of our people who contribute to turning Saint Lucia into a world-class honeymoon destination”.
As soon as PM Philip J Pierre announced this achievement, Saint Lucians also joined the celebration across the Country. People were seen dancing, singing and partying to make this victorious moment more memorable.

Pierre, Prime Minister who also acts as Minister for Finance, Economic Development, and the Youth Economy and Minister for Justice and National Security. PM Philip J Pierre also thanked the organiser of the Award Ceremony for granting this honour to Saint Lucia.
