Saint Lucia: Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire attends prize giving ceremony of ARC January 2023

Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Minister of Tourism of Saint Lucia, Dr Ernest Hilaire, participated in a prize-giving ceremony for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) January 2023, at the Sandals Golf and Country Club on 11th February 2023, Saturday.

Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Minister of Tourism of Saint Lucia, Dr Ernest Hilaire, participated in a prize-giving ceremony for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) January 2023, at the Sandals Golf and Country Club on 11th February 2023, Saturday.

Deputy Prime Minister Hilaire took to his official social media handle to share the news with fellow residents. He uploaded several photographs from the event, showing the vibe and ambience, and stated, “I attended the Prize Giving Ceremony for the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) January 2023.”

He further stated that this year, the cruisers in Saint Lucia finished the race at the Rodney Bay IGY Marina, which is recorded as much faster than it was in January 2022. Additionally, the minister proudly conveyed, “We will continue to support such ARC- Atlantic Rally Races in Saint Lucia alongside the World Cruising Club in the nation being the home of ARC for the last 33 years.”

 

As per the update, during the event, Tourism Minister of the country Ernest Hilaire addressed the audience and congratulated the ARC cruisers on their participation in the Atlantic Rally races. Further, he highlighted that the cruises performed extraordinarily in the event and were praised by many.

He continued his speech, spoke to the cruisers and other attendees at the event, and expressed his happiness and joy to be a part of the event. On his part, he stated that he is looking forward to the next events of ARC in Saint Lucia, to be held later this year in December.

The reports have stated that Deputy PM Hilaire presented awards to several cruisers for their hard work and accomplishments in the event. The social media post by the minister read, “Congratulations to all the cruisers who participated in the race, and I look forward to seeing you in December for ARC December.”

ARC – Atlantic Rally for Cruisers also took to social media and shared a glimpse of the prize-giving ceremony held post-completion of events in Saint Lucia. The post informed that the culmination of ARC January was the evening prize-giving ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments of the crews participating in the second edition of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) January.

Along with this, it stated that the prize distribution ceremony was organised at the Golf and Country Club following the conclusion of the programme of events in Saint Lucia. The event, indeed, allowed the crews to come together, creating a wonderful community with a great sense of camaraderie. Many boats have plans to cruise together or rendezvous on other islands; some will remain friends for life.
