St Kitts: Sugar Mas 51 Junior Carnival Parade to be held on December 31st

Sugar Mas 51 Caribbean Galaxy Junior Carnival Parade is to be held on the Island of St Kitts and Nevis, Basseterre, on Saturday, December 31st, on the occasion of the New Year 2022.

As per the latest updates, Carnival will include various events such as Majorettes, Carnival Winners, Junior Folklore, Bold Carnival’s inaugural presentation of First-Class Mas and the SKNNCC’s Beauty & The Beast.

As per the expected statistics, about three hundred (300) participants and revellers are about to visit the Sugar Mas 51 Caribbean Galaxy Junior Carnival Parade on Saturday, December 31st. The management of the Carnival Parade is also expecting that a huge number of people will participate in different events to be held during the parade. 

Furthermore, the management also conveyed the schedule and fun activities of the event of the Sugar Mas 51 Caribbean Galaxy Junior Carnival Parade on the official Facebook account of St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival, which read as follows, 

 

  • BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

The event will organize brunch, road refreshments, great music, and clean and wholesome fun.

  • STARTING POINT AND TIME FOR JUNIOR CARNIVAL 

During the junior Carnival, the parents and guardians are advised to bring the young revellers and participants to the Dr William Connor Primary School by 10 AM. 

The parents and guardians are also strongly advised to remain with their kids throughout the parade. Furthermore, the guardians are asked to wear all-white attire, so the committee can easily identify them.

 

  • COSTUME PIECES FOR BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

The management has conveyed that the costumes and attires for Beauty & The Beast are FREE of cost! The officials said that the space is limited, and the people are guided to please register at the SKNNCC Secretariat quickly.

During the event, the organizers will ensure that Headpieces, Back Pieces, and Hand and Foot Pieces will be distributed at the Starting Point (Dr William Connor School). Ensure the child is registered for the section of their choice at the SKNNCC Secretariat

 

  • BASE ATTIRE FOR BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

The base for Beauty & The Beast is the responsibility of the parents and guardians. Children must arrive at the Dr William Connor School dressed in their all-black base. Those in Marine Sea Life and Ocean Predators are required to wear an all-white base with solid dark-coloured underwear. Please see the photos.

 

  • PARADED ROUTE FOR THE JUNIOR CARNIVAL
  • Towards the end, the participants are advised to leave Dr William Connor Primary School at 1 PM, along Cayon St, right on West Independence Street, right on Bay Road, right on Fort Street, up Victoria Road and end in Carnival Village.

Parents and guardians of the young revellers must be in all white and accompany the children along the parade route. Please be on the side of the section. Pick up of young revellers at Carnival Village must be done AT 5:30 PM.
