The NCM (National Centre of Meteorology) has reported showers in Al Ain and Fujairah on Monday, July 11. Social media handle Storm Centre shared videos of rain showers falling in Fujairah.

It also showed rains in Kalba and Masafi regions. The NCM has published a rain warning for a few areas in the eastern and southern regions of the UAE for Monday, July 11. The weather forecast has also predicted the possibility of rain for the remaining week in its five-day weather forecast. Temperatures will increase slowly from Wednesday onwards, July 13.

A spokesperson official of NCM earlier told that UAE could witness up to three days of rainfall a week in summers.

The weather forecaster stated that summer rains are not unusual in the nation as it experiences monsoon low pressure from India. Furthermore, the nation also uses cloud seeding to increase rains.

He further said that “Cloud seeding operations can prove efficient due to the formation of the convective clouds that could trigger more rainfall.”
