Qatar National Library resumes virtual series for children

According to the authorities of the library, the session was conducted virtually. The Online workshop was hosted by Zeina Chamoun, who is a professional therapist at the Qatar Foundation’s Learning Centre.

In a major development, the Qatar National Library has resumed their series, which focuses on the sessions about the development of the fine and gross movement of the children. The series has been named “Our Children’s Problems”.

This new initiative is all about the early childhood health as well as education. According to the authorities of the library, the session was conducted virtually. The Online workshop was hosted by Zeina Chamoun, who is a professional therapist at the Qatar Foundation’s Learning Centre.

During the virtual session, the therapist discussed the importance of motor and the sensory development in children, between two and five age.

The director of the Qatar National Library, Malam Al Mahmood, stated that the online session would help educate and raise awareness among parents.

He further said, “The session would help in enhancing knowledge and skills of the new parents which would help in development and improvement in the health of the child.” “The session has been hosted because we understand the importance of supporting and educating parents,” he added.

The library hosts one more virtual event – “Our Children Matter,” which increase information about how to promote lifelong learning.

The library helps to ensure the well-being of the upcoming generation by supporting the health and education of early childhood. The library provides events for youngsters, adolescents, parents and educators, supporting and empowering children with tools and knowledge, throughout the year.

The Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development sponsors QNL, a non-profit organisation. The goal of QNL is to fulfil three purposes – a national library, a research-level university library, and a core metropolitan public library that is digitally equipped. The library was established on November 19, 2012.
