Egypt records 2,117 fresh COVID cases with 56 deaths

The middle east country has recorded a total of 2,117 new infections of the contagious COVID-19 virus on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Cairo, Egypt: The middle east country has recorded a total of 2,117 new infections of the contagious COVID-19 virus on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. The data has been shared by Egypt’s Ministry of Health.

On the contrary, fifty-six (56) individuals in Egypt lost their lives to the viral disease on Tuesday, bringing the total count of death rate to 23,465.

The data shared by the health ministry further notes that a total of 1,546 COVID-19 patients recovered from the contagious virus. With this recuperation, the recovery rate of the middle east country has risen to 390,489.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic emerged in Egypt, the country has reported 459,198 confirmed infections of the viral illness.

COVID-19 vaccination statics in the middle east country:

According to the data, to date, there are a total of 39,317,370 individuals who have taken their first dose of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccine and therefore are partially inoculated. This number counts for around 38.4% of the total population of Egypt.

Meanwhile, there are a total of 28,777,097 eligible persons in Egypt who are fully vaccinated by taking their required number of the COVID-19 vaccine jabs. This number counts for around 28.1% of the total eligible population of the country.

The health ministry has also commenced the administration of booster shots at the vaccination centres across the country from December 21, 2021.

Sinovac, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Sputnik, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and Moderna are the COVID-19 vaccines being accessible to the population of Egypt.

The health ministry further urged the general public to get themselves vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccines in order to safeguard themselves against the contagious mutant.

The population of the middle east nation has also been advised to follow the COVID-19 health protocols put in place.
