The world’s longest car is once again ready to blow your mind. The American Dream or also known as “super limo”, has been updated with several luxury amenities such as – a pool, helipad etc.

The super limo has broken its own 36-year-old record, which was made in the year 1986. The American Dream, for the second time, bagged the title of “World’s longest car” on March 1, 2022.

Jay Ohrberg, in California in the year 1986, built the car for the very first time, giving it the identity of “The American Dream”. Initially, the car was built of 18.28 meters (60 feet), had 26 wheels, and a pair of V8 engines at the front and rear.

The measurements of the super limo now have been expanded to 30.5 meters (100 feet) long. Even if one place 12 Smart Fortwo cars in a single queue, the American Dream will still be the longest.

People are welcome to take a ride in the lap of luxury while enjoying the first-class amenities such as – a large waterbed, a swimming pool complete with a diving board, jacuzzi, bathtub, mini-golf course, a helipad. More than 75 people can take a ride in the American Dream at a time.

Michael Manning (one of the individuals involved in the updation of the super limo), in conversation with the media, stated, “The helipad is structurally mounted to the vehicle with steel brackets underneath and can hold up to five thousand pounds.”

“The corporation that had it listed did not want to sell it to me because they thought my offer was too low, so I made a deal to partner with them and bring it to New York. We were going to restore it at my school, but there was not enough funding to take on the project. It sat behind my building in Mineola for approximately seven, eight years”, Manning stated while narrating his experience of restoring the car, which almost took three years.

Besides this, the American Dream is also fitted with numerous televisions, a refrigerator, and a telephone.

After remaining at the peak of fame and attention, people started losing interest in the car, following which the super limo remained at a specific place.

Getting it to drive again was a bit difficult. We took whole cab of the car out, including the dashboard, the front seat, the motor, the tranny, and we cut it off the car. We put a new drive train & Eldorado cab in there from a few donor cars because it was totally destroyed, and we couldn’t rebuild that section”, Manning added.
