UAE records 280 new COVID cases with 947 recoveries

In United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Health and Prevention on Tuesday informed that additional 280 cases of the novel coronavirus had been reported in the country.

Abu Dhabi, UAE: In United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Health and Prevention on Tuesday informed that additional 280 cases of the novel coronavirus had been reported in the country. Along with these new cases, a total of 947 COVID-19 patients got recovered from the viral disease in the past 24 hours, as of Tuesday. 

Although, no additional COVID-19 related fatality has been recorded by the healthcare authorities in the time frame of the last 24 hours.

The arrival of these new cases brings the total count of active COVID-19 infections in the country to 30,428. These new COVID infections have been reported through 254,579 additional tests conducted by the health care staff in the past 24 hours, the ministry highlighted. 

Meanwhile, the total count of confirmed cases has increased to 885,983 as of March 15, 2022. The total COVID-19 recoveries number stands at 853,983. 

At the present time, the overall death rate of the Middle East country remains at 2,302, to date, as per data shared by the health ministry. 

The country so far has managed to conduct more than 142.7 million RT-PCR tests of the COVID-19 virus. 

COVID-19 vaccination data of the country: 

Till now, there are a total of 9,890,539 individuals in the United Arab Emirates who have taken at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines and are in the category of partially vaccinated. This number represents about 99% of the total Egyptian population.

On the other hand, there are a total of 9,554,261 citizens of the UAE who have taken their required number of doses of the vaccines and are now fully vaccinated, computing for around 96.6% of the total population. 

At least 4,871,090 individuals in the country are fully immunised against the contagious viral illness and also received their booster shot of the WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. This number of persons represents about 49.3% of the UAE’s total population.
