UAE reports 300 fresh COVID infections

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID infections, since the beginning of the outbreak in the Middle East nation to 892,470, as of Monday.

The last 24 hours also witnessed the recovery of at least 621 patients of the novel coronavirus from virus and got discharged from the hospital facilities of the Middle East country. With this, the total number of the COVID-19 related recoveries to 870,614, the data of the health ministry further reveals. 

Although no additional death has been recorded by the healthcare facilities of the United Arab Emirates in the last 24 hours, therefore the death rate of the Middle East nation remains at 2,302 as of Monday, April 4, 2022. 

COVID-19 vaccination of the country: 

The official data states till April 4, 2022; there are a total of 9,890,202 citizens of the United Arab Emirates who have taken their at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccines and are now in the category of partially vaccinated individuals. This number of individuals represents almost 100% of the total targeted eligible population of the UAE. 

On the other hand, there are a total of 9,613,276 individuals who have taken their required number of the COVID-19 jabs and are hence among the fully vaccinated population, computing for nearly 97.2% of the total targeted eligible population of UAE. 

While a total of 4̮ 981,694 individuals are fully vaccinated and have also taken their third dose, that is, booster shots of the WHO-approved COVID vaccines. This number is representing about 50.4% of the total targeted eligible population of the Middle East state till date.
