This now takes the rate of doses to 248.88 doses per 100 people.

This is in line with the plan of the Ministry to give the COVID-19 vaccine to all individuals of society and efforts to reach obtained immunity resulting from the COVID vaccination, which will also help lessen the number of cases and control disease in the country.

Britain will also expand its access to Pfizer’s oral antiviral treatment of COVID-19 to thousands more people by putting it on trial to assess how best to use the drug in its highly vaccinated population, said the health ministry Tuesday.

Paxlovid, a combination of Pfizer’s new pill with older antiviral ritonavir, was made available to hundreds of individuals with compromised immune systems in the UK in February.

Presently, Paxlovid is being added to the Panoramic national study in the UK, which is making antivirals available to a broader population while collecting new data on how the drugs should be utilised in a vaccinated population of adults.

On the other hand, Queen Elizabeth said that the Corona pandemic had left everyone exhausted and tired. She communicated with the health workers and a former patient about her own experience of this life-threatening pandemic.

The 95-year-old queen of Britain tested positive for Corona in February and had mild, cold-like symptoms, but she later returned to her duties inside the palace.

The queen, a supporter of the Royal London Hospital, spoke on a video call to National Health Service workers who had assisted in building and running a 155-bed unit to cope with an increase in patients requiring help with their breathing.
