Big Bad Wolf Books, world’s biggest book sale taking place in Dubai after two years

After a gap of two years, the biggest sale of books all over the world, Big Bad Wolf Books, came back on Thursday, 14 April, in Dubai, which features over one million books.

After a gap of two years, the biggest sale of books all over the world, Big Bad Wolf Books, came back on Thursday, 14 April, in Dubai, which features over one million books.

The Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and Member of Dubai Council, Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum initiated the world’s biggest book sale, which is taking place for the third time now.

The Big Bad Wolf Book sale took place on 14 April at the Sound Stages located in the Dubai Studio City. The sale is open for people daily from 10 am until 2 am and entry to the book fair is free.

The sale, which will be taking place for a total of 11 days, covers a large number of topics, genres, and age groups, including books on art, business and design, as well as cookbooks and illustrated children’s books.

It is taking place in partnership with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and the return to the emirate is after following a virtual place that took place in association with the Sharjah Book Authority in 2021.

Big Bad Wolf Books was discovered in 2009 in Malaysia and has visited more than 12 countries till now, including South Korea, Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines and the UAE(United Arab Emirates).

The sale features huge discounts ranging from 50% to 80% off at recommended retail prices.

During her visit, Sheikha Latifa appreciated the cultural and cognitive diversity presented by the event, which features books in many different languages that covers a wide range of disciplines and fields.

She also stated that the variety on offer is consistent with Dubai and the UAE’s cultural diversity, where over 190 ethnicities reside and work.

Big Bad Wolf Books came to the UAE for the first time in 2018. It is taking place during Ramadan for the third time.
