The co-founder of Big Bad Wolf Books, Andrew Yap, said, “We have acquired a phenomenal response so far. It is great to see book lovers visiting the book sale in huge numbers, carefully sorting via to find the best deals for themselves and their loved ones.”

“16 hours were just not sufficient for the book-lovers. This makes it the first event in the area to run round the clock post-pandemic.”

Big Bad Wolf Books came in 2018 to the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and has been hugely famous since then. It is taking place for the third time in Dubai during Ramadan.

The vision of the organisers, as per Yap, has always been to develop the next generation of readers “to develop their imagination to boost creative thinking and, most importantly, empower the forthcoming generation to believe in themselves and dream big by poring through the pages of the books and becoming inspired by it”.

“We came back to Dubai after a break of two years, and we are overwhelmed to witness the response we are getting from the first day itself,” he said. “Remaining open for 24 hours provides more flexibility to our visitors. The increase in visitors we have witnessed so far reinforces my thought that reading is still something that interests both kids and adults. I am sure that the new timings will allow passionate readers to fuel their passion for reading.”

There are many competitions going on throughout the eleven-day event in which visitors can be involved and get a chance to win a complete shelf full of books. Five lucky individuals will also win Dh200 vouchers by publishing pictures about their buys using the hashtag #BBWBookHaul.
