Bollywood actors plays football match in Dubai for charity purpose

AG Events company organised a football match in Dubai in which Bollywood celebrities like Kartik Aaryan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, and many others played the game with a locally formed team from the UAE for charitable contributions purposes on Saturday evening, and 7 May.

Fans from Dubai came together to witness their favourite Bollywood stars live playing football. Both football and movie enthusiasts came together to watch this star-studded football match that pit two celebrity camps against each other located at the Shabab Al Ahli Stadium, Mamzar.

Over 18 Bollywood stars were a part of the Bunty Walia-owned All Stars Football Club (ASFC), which took on a locally assembled Emirates United that included the likes of Nasser Al Neyadi, former UAE footballer Mohammed Qasim, and Bakhit Saad, famous radio personality Kris Fade and Abdulaziz Binbaz.

Naseer, the captain of Emirates United, said, “We are pleased to be hosting the All Stars Football Club in Dubai and, most importantly, for a worthy cause. Football is a game that brings individuals together, and despite whoever wins in the end, the most significant thing is that the right objective is achieved. We pledge our fans a thrilling performance, and may the best team win.”

Other ASFC celebs include Shoojit Sircar, Vivian Dsena, Rohan Shrestha, Shabir Ahluwalia, Armaan Ralhan, Shashank Khaitan, Dino Morea, Leander Paes, Harpreet Baweja, Aparshakti Khurana, Karan Wahi, KVM, Abhimanyu Dasani, and Samir Kochhar.

The game was won by Emirates United by 3-0, though the Bollywood celebs put on a good show. Salim, Fadi Al-Khatib and Abdulaziz Binbaz were the goalscorers in the game. Binbaz also won the award of Golden Boot, whereas goalkeeper Fawaz grabbed the Golden Glove award.

Dino Morea, who is a Bollywood star and a dedicated football enthusiast, was all over the pitch during the game. The actor, aged 46, impressed visitors with his stamina and energy and played the entire game.

The match was an exciting affair, and in spite of high soaring temperatures, a huge crowd turned up to watch their favourite Bollywood actors play. This also reflected the hold that Bollywood and its stars have on the people of UAE, especially Dubai, a city considered second home by several from the film industry.
