The observatory also mentioned that the truck was carrying workers in the town of Deir al-Adas in the northern countryside of Daraa.

A landmine from the remnants of war blasted on Saturday when a pickup truck having more than 35 civilians drove over it.

Recently, several incidents of landmine explosions were reported from different areas of Syria because of the spread of remains of war, and several regime-controlled regions are witnessing continuous killings.

The Office of the United Nations Program for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated in a previous report that almost half of the population of Syria is on the verge of explosives, as there are around 300,000 mines or unexploded ordnance around the nation.

However, it has not been discovered yet by the officials of Syria who planted the mine. The events surrounding the incident are unclear, given that the map of military control over the region changed years ago.

Since the start of this year, the Syrian Network for Human Rights has recorded the deaths of around 124 civilians, including nine women and 53 young children, because of explosives of old landmines, unexploded bombs and shells around Syria.
