The Haj Committee at Dubai Airports has revealed that it has completed preparations to assure a seamless and smooth airport experience for travellers who will be travelling for the Islamic pilgrimage of the Haj to Saudi Arabia in the forthcoming days and weeks.
Saudia will fly the first official Haj flight from Dubai, leaving from DXB with a Dubai government delegation on June 30 for Madinah.
Dubai Airports’ Haj Committee, which consists of representatives from major service partners, including the General Directorate of Residency & Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Police, flydubai, Saudi Airlines, Dubai Customs, Emirates, and Flynas, among others who met lately to put the final actions in place around DXB’s terminals.
As per the Committee, the operator has dedicated counters at check-in, security and immigration, while special departure gates have been set to accommodate travellers flying on Haj flights.
The Head of the Haj Committee at Dubai Airports, Mohammad Al Marzouqi, stated that pilgrims must come to the airport four hours before their set departure to ensure they have sufficient time to finish their travel process.
He further urged the pilgrims to ensure that they have needed valid documents and also check that they must carry their passport, Emirates ID, negative PCR reports, and Haj Permit ready before they arrive at the airport from their homes.
As before, they also arranged various gifts, including copies of the holy Quran, umbrellas and first aid kits to receive the tourists at the DXB.
He further added that it would be an extremely busy period at the DXB airport because of the seasonal rush, and they also want their guests to have the smoothest airline experience possible.
