The Project goes as per the best international standards for the development of community markets and provides the best facilities and services for shop owners. The new market gives a unique shopping experience with the design incorporating themes linked to the legacy of Abu Dhabi’s fishing trade and holds the history of over forty years of the fish market.

The Director General of Operations Affairs at the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Dr Salem Al Kaabi, stated that the new venue shows the legacy of Abu Dhabi’s fish trading and fishing industry, well-known in the region. DMT believes preserving cultural elements to be an essential part of the country’s urban development strategy to get sustainable development.
