The United Arab Emirates is set for another few days of partly cloudy weather with slight chances of rain in some areas, as per forecasters.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) stated that it would be partly cloudy to cloudy on Saturday, August 6, with chances of rain showers in the southern and eastern regions of the Emirates.

It also gave a warning that winds of around 40 km per hour could cause dust clouds.

The NCM stated that light to moderate winds, freshening at times, blowing dust during the day. Temperatures will rise to as high as 48°C, with a low of 24°C predicted in the mountains.

Chairman of Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, supports the clean-up effort after floods resulted in widespread destruction of homes and property.

Similar weather conditions are predicted on Sunday, but the NCM alerted that temperatures could rise slightly.

The NCM stated that it would be fair to be cloudy in general partly, and clouds will form eastward and might be convective during the afternoon.

Temperature can rise gradually with light to moderate south-easterly to north-easterly winds, fresh at times resulting in blowing dust during the day.

More cloudy weather is forecasted on Monday with dust clouds and high winds.

The Emirates has experienced some severe weather during this summer season.

Seven people died, and around 870 were rescued after continuous rain last month, which led to flash floods in parts of Sharjah, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.

The National Centre of Meteorology has confirmed that the people of the United Arab Emirates have witnessed the wettest July in decades.
