171 new innovations joined Dubai Customs during first half

Dubai: The results of the Innovation League organized by the Innovation Center at Dubai Customs showed a significant leap in the number of innovators in various sectors, departments and customs centres, as the number of new institutional innovations increased to more than 171 institutional innovations, including 19 winning innovations at the team level and three winning innovations at the level of teams.

Department level and one champion of the Innovation League was crowned at the end of the competition, where all the winners were honoured at the end of Dubai Customs activities in the month of UAE Innovates.

Hussain Al-Fardan, Director of the Innovation Center at Dubai Customs, said: The results of the Innovation League have enhanced the happiness of the employees with new innovations, as a result of practically joining the Innovators Club in the Department, where the innovators are classified according to specific criteria for each innovation that qualifies the innovator to enter the Innovators Club.

Innovation ensures the achievement of its objectives by developing and spreading the spirit of innovation among employees in a systematic and thoughtful manner.

He added: We implemented a precise plan and timetable to implement all stages of the Innovation League, which included organizing 24 introductory workshops that were presented to the customs departments and centres virtually via video call in the presence of managers and officials. Departments to be organized at the level of the (sectors league) leading to the establishment of the innovation league finals at the department level.
