As per the information shared by the official Facebook page of Dubai Police, the ceremony took place in the presence of Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs; Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic; Brigadier Juma bin Suwaidan, Deputy Director of the General Department of Traffic; and several Dubai police officers and employees.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri appreciated the efforts of the security guards in managing traffic, dealing with minor traffic accidents and raising traffic awareness at their workplace in cooperation with the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, which ensures traffic safety and strengthens partnership with the community.

Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, said honouring the private security companies embodies Dubai Police’s vision of maintaining strong communication channels with individuals and public and private institutions to ensure the highest levels of safety and security, happiness across the emirate.

Reducing Response Time

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic, confirmed that the Dubai Police General Command had organized workshops to train security guards to regulate traffic so that they are qualified in dealing with minor traffic accidents and ultimately contribute to saving time and effort for motorists and emergency services.

He further explained that Dubai Police organized 16 training traffic safety and management workshops for 16 private security companies last year, benefiting 466 security guards.

 Meanwhile, 16 training workshops have been held this year for 15 private security companies, benefiting 300 security guards who acquired essential traffic management and safety skills and learned more about the related programmes, including the (We Are All Police) programme and the Dubai Police smart app.
