Medical tests in Salania Medical Complex’s laboratory likely to increase by 75% of last year, says Bahrain government

The CEO of Government Hospitals of Bahrain recently shared a statement stating that more than 21 million tests were done in the Salania Medical Complex's laboratory which is said to be an increase of 75% compared to last year.

The CEO of Government Hospitals of Bahrain recently shared a statement stating that more than 21 million tests were done in the Salania Medical Complex’s laboratory which is said to be an increase of 75% compared to last year.

Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ansari – Executive Chairman of Government Hospitals, stated that the laboratory department at Salania Medical Complex completed more than 21 million tests during the period from January to October of this year compared to 12 million tests during the same period for 2021, an increase 75% rate in just one year.

Dr Ansari explained that the number of tests included different types of laboratory services offered at Salmaniyah Medical Complex, where biochemistry lab tests saw 8,482,398 tests, blood lab tests 12,641,650 tests, and immune and serum lab tests 296,122 tests Eh, corona lab tests 71,750 tests, cell and tissue lab tests 52,786 trials, and lab tests Genes 857 tests, microbiology lab tests 465,032 tests, and blood bank lab tests 42,739 tests.

The Salmaniyah Medical Complex Laboratory serves all health centres, a psychiatric hospital, and the Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Bahrain. At the same time receives more than 300 patients a day.

The CEO lauded the efforts of all the health personnel, 27 physicians and 172 technicians in the laboratory department of Salania Medical Complex, who contributed their dedication and hard work in serving a more significant number of patients.
