Dubai: Hemaya Schools celebrates UAE 51st National Day

The General Department of Logistic Support at Dubai Police, in collaboration and cooperation with Hemaya Schools, organised a special event to celebrate the UAE's 51st National Day, which falls on the 2nd of December 2022.

The General Department of Logistic Support at Dubai Police, in collaboration and cooperation with Hemaya Schools, organised a special event to celebrate the UAE’s 51st National Day, which falls on the 2nd of December 2022.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, witnessed the ceremony in the presence of His Excellency Major General Ali Ghanem, Director of the General Department of Logistic Support at Dubai Police, and a number of senior officers, Hemaya Schools’ principals, academic staff, students and parents.

Maj. Gen. Ghanem said that National Day is a joyful day to commemorate the unification of all seven emirates into one unifying nation. “It’s also a day that symbolises the country’s achievements and progress,” he added.

He also pointed out that Dubai Police General Command celebrated this special occasion across its various sectors and departments and explained that the General Department of Logistic Support chose to celebrate at Hemaya Schools to instil the value of this great day in students’ hearts and involve them in presenting their distinctive creativity that expresses their feelings towards our beloved country.

The UAE’s 51st National Day ceremony began with the national anthem performed by the Dubai Police Musical Band and sung by officers and students of Hemaya Schools.

The celebration featured several activities and performances, including; reciting a poem, an exhibition of paintings drawn by students of Hemaya schools, and some traditional Emirati performances, including Al Azi and Al Yola.
