His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, has recently praised the Dubai Ports Police Station for its vital role in maintaining the maritime security of Dubai, as well as for monitoring and controlling the coastal navigation movement across the emirate’s waters and conducting awareness campaigns for sea-goers and water bike users.

Lt. Gen. Al-Marri made these remarks at an appraisal meeting he chaired, in the existence of His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, and a number of Dubai Police senior officers and officials, to review the workflow mechanism at the Dubai Ports Police Station.

Lt. Gen. Al Marri also reviewed the Station’s strategic indicators in addition to the statistics of the Customer Happiness Section, Maritime Rescue Section, Maritime Security Section, Beach Security Section, Shifts Rotation Section and Criminal Registration Section.

The Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police was also briefed on work progress in the Maritime Operations Room and acquainted with the status of the Daily Brief hall after renovation.

Recently Dubai Police celebrated its 51st National Day; the Operations Sector of Dubai Police, in partnership and cooperation with GEMS Al Khaleej International School, hosted a special event at the General Department of Organisations Protective Security and Emergency to commemorate the UAE’s 51st National Day, which falls on Friday, December 2, 2022.

The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, witnessed the ceremony in the presence of Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations Affairs, Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, as well as several senior officers, GEMS Al Khaleej International School principals, academic staff, students along with their parents.

Al-Marri stated that National Day is a joyful day to celebrate the unification of all seven emirates into one unifying country. “It is also a day representing the nation’s achievements and progress,” he added.

The ceremony started with the national anthem, performed by the Dubai Police Musical Band and sung by officers and students of GEMS Al Khaleej International school.

 The celebration also featured many activities and performances, including a show by the Dubai Police K9 unit and some traditional Emirati performances, including Al Azi and Al Yola.

On the special occasion of the 51st UAE National Day, the Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, on behalf of the whole department, extended their sincerest congratulations to all the leaders of UAE.
