Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Ernest Hilaire, has recently participated in the 81st Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) in Curacao on Thursday, February 09, 2023.
Deputy Prime Minister took to his official social media handle to share the details of the meeting, where he emphasized the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s mandate to position the Caribbean as the most loved destination to visit for people all around the world throughout the year.
In his remarks, Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information Ernest Hilaire expressed his experience regarding the recently held meeting with the CTO board of directors as a productive initiative taken by the administration.
He further stated, “The meeting today was very productive as we received updates from our discussions at the last meeting and charted the way forward as we go into the calendar year 2023.” During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ernest focused on the fruitful results of the last meeting regarding the enhancement of the Caribbean Tourism Industry.
Moreover, Minister of Tourism and Creative Industry Hilaire also shared a number of photographs from the 81st meeting of the CTO board of directors. During the meeting, Deputy PM attended several interactive sessions with the officials and exchanged ideas regarding the betterment of the Caribbean Tourism Industry this year, said reports.
As per the reports, CTO business meetings are currently undergoing at the Renaissance Wind Creek Resort in Curaçao. Furthermore, “Our delegation received a warm welcome yesterday evening from Ruisandro Cijntje, Minister of Economic Development and his team,” conveyed the officials from the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
Additionally, the CTO added, “We look forward to sharing experiences with one another during our visit to the Dutch Caribbean as we brainstorm solutions to meet challenges head-on and propel Caribbean tourism forward in 2023.”
