Turkish transport minster visits Iraq

Prime Minister of Iraq  S.Al-sudani received the Turkish minister of transport, Mr. Abdulkadir Uraloglu. Transport minister of Turkey visiting Iraq to accelerate joint understanding between both the countries with regard to road development projects.

The road project is under construction to improve connectivity between Iraq, Turkey and other European countries.

During the bilateral meeting, Iraq’s prime minister highlighted the importance attached to the development projects. He added further that these road projects are very strategic and crucial initiatives being taken by the government.
He reaffirmed that the Iraqi government is committed to enhance the standard of living of the common public by executing a number of welfare schemes.

The PM also stressed that the execution of the development projects will enhance the joint cooperation among Iraq,Turkey and other regional countries, serving the common interests of both countries and the region. Connectivity with Europe will improve the condition of the state of the economy of both countries as it will open the gates of opportunity for the economic development of both countries.

He underlined that the road project is the most efficient,direct, and cost-effective transportation corridor, which will link the Middle East to many countries of the European continent, so it will not only improve the economic condition of both countries at the same time, it will also enhance people to people interactions.

While speaking on occasion Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to the Turkish government for participating in this exceptionally important project. He also emphasised the importance of ongoing technical discussions between both countries aimed at building an economic framework for implementing the tasks successfully.

The transport minister of Turkey reaffirmed the strong commitment of Turkey to actively engage in road development projects .

Turkish government also expressed satisfaction with the plans of Iraq’s government’s essential measures and its commendable and constructive endeavours towards advancing and reforming the Iraqi economic situation.

Turkish minister stated that the Turkish government is always ready to extend any kind of support, including financial support.He again reaffirmed that timely completion of development projects serves the common interest of both the nations.
