PM Drew announces development of MRI Machines site at JNF Hospital

According to the information, the initiative is being undertaken by the Health Ministry and the Government of St Kitts and Nevis to serve and equip the nation's people with all the basic medical facilities

St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew announced the development of the site, for the installation of MRI Machines at the JNF General Hospital on Wednesday. He shared that the morgue has been progressing for the past 7 years, which ones was left unused and neglected.

According to the information, the initiative is being undertaken by the Health Ministry and the Government of St Kitts and Nevis to serve and equip the nation’s people with all the basic medical facilities.

PM and the health Minister Dr Drew took to his social media handle to share some major insights into progress at JNF. “Significant work is taking place at JNF. The building that will house the MRI is being done. Additionally, the morgue is progressing, for 7 years it was left dilapidated,” he added.

It is to be noted that, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew is committed to the development of the JNF, which is the most prominent health Centre in St Kitts and Nevis

Over the years, the Government and the Health Ministry under PM Drew’s administration have made many significant strides at the Health Centre. The JNF has hired the highest number of specialists including, neurologists, Internists, Anesthesiologists, Pediatricians, Surgeons, Gynecologists and Psychologists. This significant achievement has marked the first in the health centre’s history.

The Health Centre has for the first time established the Kidney Transplant Program at JNF Hospital. This highlights the significant transition to highly sophisticated and modern medical care. The Hospital has also hired HR personnel as part of the staff and introduced several machines to upgrade its infrastructure. It has launched, New Anesthesiology machines, a New fluoroscopy machine, and Highly advanced ultrasound machines that can also perform heart ultrasounds.

Further, They have a New medicine cabinet, a New CT Scan machine purchased, the Highest number of dialysis machines, Electroencephalogram (EEG) machine to test the brain. 

Meanwhile, the people of St Kitts and Nevis hailed the leader for his continuous efforts and initiatives towards the health sectors and others. “Well done Mr. PM, thank you and your government for the hard work that you are doing to improve the lives of our people and our country’s standing in the world.
