Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Several practical training and field visits have been organized by the Police Rehabilitation Department at the Saif Bin Zayed Academy of Police Science and Security under the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police.
The events were held for the participants in the fifth edition of the “Police Heroes of Tomorrow” program. It was informed that the program aimed to invest the free time of school students during the summer vacation and gain positive skills in various practical areas.
According to recent information, the program activities included field drills for geologists, virtual archery and security training, instilling concepts of compliance with rules and regulations, strengthening personal aspects, increasing self-confidence, and encouraging student sense of security.
The Abu Dhabi Police has taken to its official social media handle to issue updates regarding the program and training sessions. The updates noted that the “Police Heroes of Tomorrow” initiative conducted field visits on the tasks of the Mobile Operations Room.
Learn about the tasks of Happiness Patrol, Smart Patrol, Child Patrol, traffic regulation procedures, and modern systems. The program includes traffic awareness activities and initiatives that contribute to reducing accidents.
Tomorrow’s police heroes visited the Emirates Heritage Club – Al Ain Women’s Center, and Mithaa Rashid Al-Swedi, the centre’s director, explained the handicrafts, the grandparents’ lives and their ways of living.
During the visits, the centre’s director noted the importance of preserving the heritage of their parents and grandparents as part of a tour for the participants around the centre, taking souvenir photos and watching a video on the history and heritage of the Emirates.
The program assigned visits to the female category, which included several Abu Dhabi police departments, during which they learned about the tasks and efforts to maintain security in the specialized area.
The centre delivered three educational lectures, the first entitled “Artificial Intelligence”, the second titled “Security Service”, and the third titled “Astronomy and Stars”. At the end of the visit, souvenirs were distributed among the students.
The female students also visited the Policewomen Affairs Office in Human Resources Sector, and Major Sheikh Obaid Al-Zaabi was the Head of the Office at their reception. Following this, a documentary film was displayed about the specialities and fields of the Policewomen Affairs Office and the role of the Women Affairs Office in supporting and empowering women in various administrative and fieldwork.
Lieutenant First Basama Nasser Al-Jannibi from the office lectured on innovation and creative work and urged the students to adopt the innovative thinking curriculum to acquire new skills in different fields.Â
The students got to know the role of the innovation lab in developing the knowledge and skills of creatives and innovators to generate creative ideas and develop innovative athletic projects.
The students interacted with various practical training and field visits during which they learned about programs, awareness, and educational and entertaining activities.Â
They expressed their happiness with the outstanding and useful program of Abu Dhabi Police, and at the end of the visits, outstanding contributions were honoured.
