Dominica: PM Skerrit meets children attending Roseau Summer camp

Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of Dominica  has met   the children attending Roseasu Summer Camp at his office .

Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica  has met   the children attending Roseasu Summer Camp. He hosted childrens at his office and spent quality time with them.

The annual summer camp is organized every year in July. The children aged 5 to 12 used to engage in different fun and learning activities here. At the same time  students got opportunity to participate in educational activities, which helped them improve their confidence and social engagement. The summer camp is organized by Melissa Poponne-Skerrit, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development  every year.

 

 

While taking to his social media handles, PM Skerrit shared the information about this interactive session with the children. PM stated on his official Facebook page  “It was a great experience to host the students from Roseau Central annual summer camp at my office on Monday.”

 

He further stated, “The students are participating in the summer being organized by MP Melissa Poponne-Skerrit. My children, Dmitry and Isabella  were also part of this student group.”

During the visit to the Prime Minister’s office  students shared their experiences at the summer camp. The excited students also asked PM Skerrit about the Government’s working.

 

While their  visit from summer camp to the PM office  the children were accompanied by key state officials, who also apprised the students of new facts about government machinery.  It is worth mentioning that the PM himself led the children to the cabinet room, where he explained the interesting aspects of government working .

 

It is to be noted that the children   visited the office of Melissa Poponne-Skerrit, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development  to understand how this vital ministry is being run by her efficiently.

 

After their visit  the children received gifts from the PM and took photos with him and Minister Poponne-Skerrit. The children expressed their gratitude to PM Skerrit and his wife for providing them with opportunities for indoor and outdoor activities during summer camp.

 

On the other hand   while reacting to PM’s Facebook post  a social media users lauds the PM’s efforts to make the summer camp experience memorable by hosting them in his office. On Facebook  user Kathleen Cuffy Jno Jules commented, “Good vibes, Parl Rep! Keep up the amazing job.”
