UAE: Dubai is all set to open its first football-themed hotel in November, where fans can star during the time of the 2022 Qatar World Cup and commute in and out of Doha for the day.

The hotel named ‘NH Dubai’ on the western side of The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, will be a major attraction for fans wanting to go to Qatar to support the biggest event scheduled in the middle east region.

Demand for hotel rooms from international fans who are planning to stay in the United Arab Emirates has risen during recent weeks as the sporting showpiece comes closer to its November 21 kick-off.

Hosted by the Expat Sports tourism agency, the Football Fans Dubai Experience will provide a package of flights from Dubai to World Cup hosting nation Qatar, airport transfers and accommodation at the new NH Dubai The Palm.

Special hospitality packages will also include tickets for the matches.

The executive director of Expat Sport and the exclusive sales agent of official match day hospitality, Sue Holt, said this is an entirely new addition to the Dubai hospitality landscape.

“We are partnering up with the official partners of the Fifa World Cup to make it a special and memorable experience for the guests,” he further added.

During the month-long tournament, NH Dubai The Palm, which is scheduled to open during early November, will be changed from a modern, 533-room hotel to a hotbed of football fever.

Hotel guests will be able to access sports challenges and competitions during the tournament, while the sports bar of the hotel will be altered to a fan zone.

Supporters travelling to Doha during a day trip and staying at the hotel will get welcome packs, discounts and tickets to other designated fan zones in the city to watch games.

Buses will also be available to shuttle fans to other matches at official fan zones in the city at Dubai Harbour, the Coca-Cola Arena as well as Football Park at DIFC.
